Wow. Thank you for your interpretation and preaching of this word, and for tearing me apart again. Just last week someone said I was this person’s spiritual “hero,” and I had to respond by admitting that I am so far from being what I ought to be — I am still so cold, so prone to sin, so lazy… Yet, for what good there is in me, I directed this person to give thanks to God and to follow Christ. C. S. Lewis pointed out that we Christians are far too easily satisfied — someday I may tell you a story about why being told something is “easy” disgusts me. Please pray for me — that I will resist sin by the Spirit’s Power and follow after Christ in His same Power. Thank you, Scott.
